Animoto is an amazing tool that allows teachers or students to create multimedia presentations that are simple to make and really cool to watch. You just upload pictures, upload a song and then voila! You have an instant music video. There is even an iPhone app that allows you to create a presentation from the pictures stored on your phone.
One of the primary reasons I like this app is because of the workflows that teachers and students can create in order to retrieve, annotate and submit work. Plus, Notability integrates Dropbox, Google Drive and Box drive. If teachers set up a shared folder with their class via Google Drive, students can access their documents, annotate them and push them back to their teacher via a privately shared folder. In other words, this is a big step toward the paperless classroom. Also, students can open PDFs from any website in Notability and annotate directly on the PDF.
PowToon is a user friendly and intuitive presentation software that allows someone with no technical or design skills to create engaging professional “look and feel” animated presentations.
Mural.ly is a free web tool that is a creation and presentation tool that allows users to work in an open mural space and add all sorts of content (videos, images, documents, links) to a wide open space. The mural can even be set up to be a presentation like a Prezi and can be embedded in other sites as well. This creative tool is similar to Glogster, Prezi, and Wallwisher all wrapped into one.
Present Me is a wonderful presentation delivery tool that allows teachers to upload PowerPoint presentations and then record audio and video through a webcam which syncs to the presentation being shared. This is a great way to capture and share specific lectures or explanations of assignments. It is also a great way for students to be able to reference or review an assignment given in class. The free version of this tool allows for a limited number of presentations to be saved/shared and is ad-supported.
